Give Your Children the Chance to be Bat Boys/Girls!!On July 26, 2009 at LeLacheur Park, home of the Lowell Spinners, Good Sports will host a Celebrity Home Run Derby. Representatives from Boston sports organizations and media outlets will team up to compete in an eight-team softball home run derby. The event will also feature Celebrity pitchers, catchers, reporters and emcees.
Good Sports, who provides sports equipment for underprivileged youth is offering an opportunity of a lifetime to two youth sports fans and their parents/guardians.
The winner of this auction will be awarded the 2 (two) on-field positions of Bat Boy/Girl. Two Bat Kids are needed, one for each dugout.
With your winning bid, you will also be awarded 2 (two) additional Field Passes for the parents/guardians of the Bat Kids. You will be able to fully enjoy this experience with your children right on the field at LeLacheur Park as the athletes and celebrities swing for the fences right next to you!
As Bat Boys/Girls, the lucky children will be providing athletes and celebrities with their bats, collecting balls for pitchers and umpires, retrieving bats, providing towels and water for the participants and more. Additionally, each child will receive a baseball jersey and surprise autographed memorabilia gift.
